Fall of Man

A crisis is unfolding right before our eyes. Is it too late?

You have heard this or seen this before somewhere right? Well, it is a quote by author G. Michael Hopf in one of his novels.

Let me take you on a ride, explaining what is going on in the lives of modern men and wherein this cycle I believe we are in the present day.

It is the start of a new year. 2022. There has never been a safer time to live than in the present-day West. I call it, “The era of abundance”. Food is readily available with no issues whatsoever.

Many people make a living right from their bedroom. Men, never having to hunt, go through discomfort, hardship and unease, to get the basics to survive. Well, is this not going to have any effect on men? Is it all smooth sailing from here? You would be a fool to think that.

We as men are about to truly enter some hard times. The quote I have written in the first paragraph entails a cycle that society goes through.

Let's take Rome to explain this. Rome, in essence, was built by a line of strong men who did not indulge in instant gratification and moulded themselves through hard tough circumstances and a cut-throat environment to eventually build one of the largest empires in known history.

Now that they had conquered England to Egypt, they started indulging in ultimate pleasures. They started celebrating. They were prosperous. Belly full-Balls empty. They ate food high in fat and sugar. Enjoyed the luxuries that life had to offer. Then what happened?

They began to fall off internally. Those strong men who had created good times begin to go, and the good times slowly turned the tide and created weak men. What happens to society at this point? They get dominated and destroyed by a nation that does not indulge in instant gratification. A nation that is still monogamous. Still religious. Intolerant. Filled with strong men. High testosterone men. The nuclear family is intact. A bloodbath on the battlefield.

Many of you will be reading this and thinking about how this relates to us today. It does. Believe me, it has everything to do with us.
