Memories are so fleeting
Like mist in the wind
Gone within a second
Never to return again
Or perhaps flooding back in
When you least expect it
It’s like living a mystery
Seeking the answers

Learning aspects of yourself
Like looking for mementos
In every day things
It’s strange
Amnesia
Such a thing
It’s like being obsessed
With finding who you are
Where you’ve been
Where you are going
What your will is
It’s like fishing
For your own experiences
Amnesia
It’s some ish
But it can be sweet
When you remember
The purest of things
Like a lost love
The look in their eye
When they confess their feelings
Or the words written
Spoken, sang, danced to, lived
It can be nice and sweet
But it can also be nightmarish
Like thinking someone you once knew
Is amazing
It turns out they are actual demons
